annual Plus 5 dinner
The annual Plus 5 dinner was held in the Fort Scott High School commons on Tuesday, March 25. Fifty students qualified to receive invitations to the dinner. This program began in 1991 to recognize students who were able to raise their third quarter grade .5 or above their cumulative grade point average. Historically, the third quarter is the most difficult time of the year for students to raise their grades. Normally most students' grades fall or remain the same during this academic period. Students who qualified to attent the dinner were given the option to invite a teacher to the dinner who had been an encouragement to them in raising their grades.
The following students received invitations to the Plus 5 Dinner: Jaime Anderson, Kaleigh Armstrong, Josh Ayers, Colton Bailou, Blake Bolden, Jessica Carnes, Tiffani Clarkson, Jacob Clements, Alecia Coday, Tyler Cook, Aaron Cooney, Dannie Croan, Caz Del Chiaro, Nicholas Engle, Megan Floyd, Josh Ford, Jordan Francis, Phillip Goodbody, Sam Grubb, Amanda Hall, Eddie Harryman, John Hawkins, Joe Hixon, Ashlay Jackson, Jeremy Karleskint, Angela Love, Jesse Malveaux, Jackie Mason, Lisa McTheeney, Cody Meech, Adrianna Miller, Justin Morrow, Dreama Murphy, Logan Newell, Donna Nickelson, Brittany Normand, Denton Ramsey, Jessica Shapiro, Kaley Simpson, Andrew Skaggs, Paige Stewart, Hope Thomas, Nathan Thomas, Adrianne Tourtillott, Heather True, William Webber, Bryan Weilert, Janae Willard, Ashley Woodall, Chelsea Zandler.
