Bronson Order of the Star

Bronson Chapter #65 met March 13 with 16 members present. Meeting opened in form with Worthy Matron : Geri Reeder, and Worthy Patron: Louis Pool in the East.

Worthy Matron read " On the Edge of Spring" and said she saw a robin today.

Worthy Patron said the buzzards were back.

Introductions were: Julia Ann Rhoton; special page to Janice Olson, Grand Ruth. Tom Johnson; excellent high Priest Iola Chapter, #8 Iola Archmasons.

Letters were read from Grand Chapter and an invitation to Gridly Chapter and Helena Chapter. Also the nees for the Kansas Masonic Home.

March 26 will be installation of officers, dress formal and bring finger foods.

Bonita Holeman reported that Chuck Shelton was given two more pints of blood today. He is still in the hospital at Fort Scott.

Roseanne Broughton is not feeling will and Grace Smith has a bad cold.

Election of Officers were held with Martha Heffernon elected as Worthy Matron and Jimm Heffernon as Worthy Patron. Ednamarie Jackson was elected Associate Matron and Glenn Smith, Associate Patron. Elsie Weast was voted as Conductress and Erma Eastwood, Associate Conductress.

Louis Pool, Worthy Patron's closing thought was "You know you have reached middle age when weight lifting consists of standing up".

The meeting was closed in form.

Refreshment of Goosberry Cobbler and Coolwhip, Peach Cobbler with Coolwhip, wheat thins and dip, nuts, jellybeans, and Crunch Chocolate Easter eggs, and coffee seved by Glenn and Retta Smith.
