Grandparents' Resource Fair set for March 1

Save the date of Saturday, March 1 for a Grandparents' Resource Fair in Vernon County. Learn more about children's literacy, how to be involved in children's schooling, legal issues, tax assistance, and more! This free fair will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Nevada Regional TeleCenter in Nevada, MO. Lunch will be provided. Speakers will answer grandparents' questions about the legal system in Missouri, give timely tips for tax savings, and promote literacy for children. There will also be a panel of grandparents who have first hand knowledge of raising a young child in today's society.

The free fair is being sponsored by the University of Missouri Extension and various local agencies will provide informational booths. Registration deadline is Friday, Feb. 22. Call (417) 448-1212 to make reservations or for more information.
