DOROTHY KASTILAHN
Dorothy Mae Kastilahn, 93, of Fort Scott, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at Mercy Health Center.
She was born Aug. 4, 1914 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph Oscar and Edith (Johnson) Willard. She married Earl George Kastilahn Nov. 1, 1942 in San Diego, Calif. He preceded her in death April 25, 1995.
She is survived by two daughters; Barbara Wesselman, of Overland Park, Kansas, and Betty Thomas of Fort Scott, a son; Byron Kastilahn, of Littleton, Colo., a sister; Helen Willard Spath, of San Diego, Calif., a sister-in-law; Gloria Willard, of Springfield, Mo., five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Earl, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter; Nancy Sue Kastilahn Herr, two sisters; Betty Pitts, and Evelyn Willard Whiteside, and three brothers; Bob Willard, Max Willard, and Jack Willard.
Pastor Stephen Sweyko will conduct funeral services for Dorothy at 11 a.m. Jan. 25, 2008 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Fort Scott National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
