Greyhound men fall at Johnson

OVERLAND PARK -- Fort Scott Community College's men took their eighth straight loss Monday night, falling to Johnson County, 74-56, here in Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division play Monday night.

The Greyhounds (0-6, 5-13) haven't won since defeating Central Nebraska in Hutchinson on Dec. 8 -- their only win this season that didn't come against a four-year school's junior varsity team.

Fred Patton led the way for the Cavaliers (3-3, 11-7) with 14 points and 14 rebounds. David Yadrich led Johnson County in scoring with 15 points while Jonathon Jackson added 12 and Anthony Dobson scored 10.

Arsenio Williams scored 20 points for Fort Scott. Kyle Grant added 13 while Willie Bland scored 10.

Fort Scott shot 32 percent from the field, making 19 of 59 field-goal attempts. Johnson County shot 39 percent on 27 of 69.

Johnson County ourebounded Fort Scott, 51-43. Williams led the Greyhounds with nine boards.

The Greyhounds host Labette tonight at 7 p.m. and Cowley Saturday afternoon at 4. Both are Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division games.
