Sydney Paige, who was born just before noon Tuesday, weighed a little more than 6 pounds at birth. The baby's parents won a variety of prizes in a New Year's Baby Contest conducted by The Fort Scott Tribune and supported by various local merchants.
The prizes included a free oil change from Fort Scott Quik Lube, a $25 gift card from Gene's Heartland Foods and Fuel Xpress, a $20 gift certificate to Mercy Marketplace, and a baby memory book from Sekan's Occasion Shops.
