Lighting contest winners announced
The Fort Scott Office of Tourism and Visitor Information Center has tallied the votes for this year's Light Up Fort Scott Contest. More than 200 Dolly HollyDay riders voted on the entries between Dec. 10 and 12.
Entries were accepted in three categories with a $100 grand prize winner in each. In the religious category, 1304 S. Little Street, entered by John and Cathy Killion, received grand prize. This is the third year ina row that the Killions have won in this category. Hillview Addition, entered by Peggy Niles, won the neighborhood category grand prize. The residence at 514 S. Broadway, entered by Fred Judy, took the grand prize in the traditional category.
The Office of Tourism and Visitor Information Center would like to thank those households that entered the contest as well as this year's contest sponsors: All Hit 103.9 FM, UMB Bank, and the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
