Fort Scott Police work the scene of a drug bust at a house on Holbrook Street early Wednesday morning. Around 9 a.m., about an hour after the bust, officers were clearing the scene, apparently taking several items inside and outside the house.

Fort Scott Police officers Wednesday arrested 18-year-old Breonna Martinez and a juvenile when serving a narcotics search warrant at 608 S. Holbrook St.

Martinez was arrested in suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, contributing to child misconduct and endangerment, and sale of narcotics within 1,000 feet of a school. She is still being held at Southeast Kansas Regional Correctional Center on no bond.

At 8 a.m. Wednesday, 10 officers entered the residence and searched the house, detaining four adults and the 17-year-old unnamed juvenile. Only Martinez and the juvenile were arrested. Also, a minor child was taken into police protective custody as a result of the incident.

An exact amount of marijuana wasn't determined.

Charges on the 17-year-old were undetermined. His name was not disclosed by police. He was handed over to juvenile intake authorities.

The search warrant stemmed from an on-going narcotics investigation by FSPD detectives.
