BETTY JEAN HAM
Betty Jean Ham, age 71, a former resident of Fort Scott and more recently of Oklahoma, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey, Okla.
She was born Dec. 27, 1935 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Aaron VanDyke and Pearl Freese VanDyke.
She married Jack Ham on Dec. 11, 1955 in Fort Scott. Mrs. Ham worked for Key Industries and later retired from Ennis Business Forms after working there for over thirty years.
She moved to Oklahoma in November to be near her son.
Survivors include her husband, Jack, of Bartlesville, Okla.; a son, J.D. Ham, Bartlesville, Okla.; a daughter, Belinda Cushard, Belton, Mo., and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin daughters, Brenda and Glenda Ham; two brothers, Hubert and Elmer VanDyke, and a sister, Margie Logan.
The Rev. Jared Witt will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at the Cheney Witt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
