Two FSCC students named to All-Kansas Academic Team
Two Fort Scott Community College students have been selected as nominees for the All-USA Academic Team, an FSCC statement said Wednesday.
Anna Bahr and Casidey Clay were chosen to represent FSCC this year in the All-Kansas Academic Team as well as nominees to the All-USA Academic Team.
Both students are heavily involved in campus and community activities. Their 4.0 grade point averages and academic achievements have helped in their selection, the statement said.

Clay and Bahr are working on their associate degrees, and both plan to transfer to Pittsburg State University in the fall of 2008. Bahr, a sophomore from Fort Scott, is involved in many activities, including the marching band, pep band, jazz band, and the student advisory committee. She is also an officer in Phi Theta Kappa.
Some of Bahr's community involvement includes serving as a volunteer historical re-enactor for the Fort Scott National Historic Site, and also as a bass guitar player for a performing band during the Fort Scott Good Ol' Days festival.
Clay is also a sophomore from Fort Scott. She has given back to the community by participating in Phi Theta Kappa community service activities, serving as a team member for the Bourbon County Relay for Life, and taking several mission trips to Mexico City.
Clay will earn an associate of science degree in the spring of 2008, and after transferring to PSU, she will major in accounting and minor in Spanish, the FSCC statement said.
