Going to Sedan?

Pleasanton head football coach Chris Brindle Thursday night sent the Tribune a map and turn-for-turn directions for Blu-Jay fans who want to see their team play in Sedan this Friday night.

Sedan is 156 miles southwest of Pleasanton. PHS fans should take U.S. 69 south to the U.S. 54 exit at Fort Scott, then head west toward Iola.

At Iola, turn south on U.S. 169 and follow that to U.S. 160 east of Independence. Turn west there and contunie through Independence until U.S. 75 splits off to the south about three miles west of town.

Once you get to the U.S. 166/K-99 junction south of Sedan, follow K-99 north to Main Street. Then continue north two blocks past the flashing light where K-99 turns west.

Turn south on U.S. 75 until you reach its junction with U.S. 166. Take the ramp and head west on 166 until you get to the K-99/Business 166 junction.

Follow U.S. 166 north. The marked highways will split off at Main Street. There should be a flashing light at this intersection. Continue north instead and the stadium will be about two blocks north of the light.

PLeasanton's team bus will depart at 1:30 p.m. Friday. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday night. The Blu-Jays go into the contest with a 2-1 record.
