Fort Scott High School's junior varsity football team made short work of Parsons in a game at Frary Field Tuesday night, going out to an 18-0 lead after one period on its way to a 38-0 win.

Halfback Mitchell Stoughton scored a 64-yard touchdown run just two plays and 42 seconds into the contest. He was followed by Kolby Allen, who went in from 23 yards with 4:43 to go in the first period. Chris Archie scored on a 22-yard run with 2:27 remaining in the quarter.

Blake Cowan scored on an eight-yard run with 1:48 left in the first half. Ben Gettler threw a two-point conversion pass to Alec Ramirez to make it a 26-0 lead.

Cowan scored again, this time on a three-yard run, with 4:58 left in the third to make it 32-0. Cody Cannon put in the Tigers' final score with 6:15 to go in the fourth on a 44-yard run.

There was no freshmen game due to a lack of numbers at Parsons although a lot of freshmen played in the JV contest for Parsons.

The Tiger JV is scheduled to go to Girard Monday.
