Connor J. Underwood

Connor J. Underwood, 2 months old, of Pittsburg, Kan., was pronounced dead on arrival at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg at 3:03 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, as a result of SIDS.

He was born June 20, 2007, in Joplin, Mo., the son of Shannon and Julie (Rogers) Underwood.

Survivors include his parents and sister Callie L. Underwood of Pittsburg, paternal grandparents John and Linda Underwood of Arma, Kan.; maternal grandparents Gary and Peggy Rogers of Kincaid, paternal great grandmother Lois Montee of Arcadia, Kan.; maternal great grandparents Orville and Margaret Rogers of Iola, Kan.; four aunts and four uncles: Dennis and Stephanie Rogers of Olathe, Kan., Tom and Alisha Rogers of Mound City, Kan., Tricia Underwood, Justin and Stephanie Underwood and Brett Underwood all of Arma, Kan.; seven cousins and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents John and Doris Underwood, paternal great grandfather William Gerald Montee, Maternal great grandparents George and Laurene McAdam.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the South Broadway Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Rev. Joel Hahn officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery near Arcadia, Kan. Family will receive friends at the South Broadway Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening.
