Missouri free fishing weekend now under way

It's a special weekend for Missouri anglers. The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering a free fishing weekend. This fishing opportunity is open to anyone who enjoys doing a little fishing and take their chances at catching onto a new sport, according to Vernon County Conservation Agent Justin Fogle.

On June 9 and 10, any person may fish without permit, trout permit and prescribed area daily tag during free fishing days.

"So here is your chance to get out and enjoy all the outdoors Missouri has to offer," Fogle said.
