Resource Center for Independent Living announces promotions

Chad Wilkins

The Board of Directors of the Resource Center for Independent Living, Inc. (RCIL) selected Chad Wilkins, former Chief Financial Officer, as the new Executive Director in August 2006. Wilkins had been serving as Interim CEO since January of 2006.

Wilkins graduated from Baker University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1995 and a Masters of Business Administration from Baker University in 2000. He began working for RCIL in 1994 and accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer in 2001.

Tania Harrington was recently promoted to the Director of Quality Assurance with RCIL. Harrington graduated from Emporia State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services Education and has been employed by RCIL as an Independent Living Counselor/ Independent Living Specialist since 1994.

Loren DeBaun joined RCIL in October 2006 as the Director of Human Resources after serving six years with Payless ShoeSource in the Topeka corporate office. DeBaun is a 2000 graduate from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics.

RCIL is a center for independent living with satellite offices throughout the state, including Fort Scott, plus the home office in Osage City.
