A 15-0 run midway through the second half propelled Fort Scott Community College's men to a 77-58 win over Cowley in a Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division make-up game at Arnold Arena Monday afternoon.

Fort Scott, 3-1 in the East and 11-5 overall, led most of the first half but Cowley, 2-2, 8-8, wouldn't let the Greyhounds pull away.

Bateko Francisco, who scored 12 points in the first half but made just five of 16 shots from the field, scored 13 points on five-of-six field-goal shooting to start the second half. His personal run lasted into the first four points of the big run that allowed Fort Scott to pull away.

The Greyhounds led just 47-46 when the run began with 15:38 to go. The Tigers had last scored at 16:07 and wouldn't score again for seven minutes and 59 seconds.

The Tigers scored only 20 total points in the second half. Fort Scott doubled that as Francisco scored 16 of his game-high 28 points.

Kyle Cooper scored 20 points for the 'Hounds as he made all five of his shots from the field, including four three-point shots, and all six free-throw attempts.
