Vesta Lorene Webster, age 88, resident of 730 S. Horton, Fort Scott, Kansas, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kansas. She was born March 20, 1918, in Lone Elm, Kansas, the daughter of Arzy H. Sprague and Hazel C. Beal Sprague. Mrs. Webster was a seamstress many years for Woodard's Cleaners. Following their closing she opened her own seamstress shop. She married Herbert V. Camp on May 15, 1941. He preceded her in death on January 4, 1981. She married William (A. W.) Webster on February 21, 1990 at Fort Scott. She was an excellent cook making everything from scratch. She also enjoyed quilting. Mrs. Webster attended the Grace Baptist Tabernacle when health permitted.

Survivors include her husband, A. W. Webster of the home; three sons, Rollin Camp and wife Janice, Hesston, Kansas, Russell Camp and wife Beth, Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, and Terry Camp, Hillsboro, Kansas; step daughter, Billie Webster Pitzer and husband George, Pittsburg, Kansas. Also surviving are four living step-children from her first marriage; three brothers, Harold Sprague, Colony, Kansas, Vernon Sprague, Kincaid, Kansas and Kenneth Sprague, Iola, Kansas; four sisters, Opal Furr, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Vera Terrell, LaHarpe, Kansas, Blanche Ford, Desert Hot Springs, California and Violet Holt, Lone Elm, Kansas. Also surviving are five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

The Rev. Jared Witt will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Cheney Witt Chapel. Burial will follow in Lone Elm Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Carriage House prior to the funeral service.
