CHARLES GARY YAGER

Charles Gary Yager, age 61, died Wed. November 22, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital. He was born January 14, 1945 in Linn County, Kansas. To Charles J. and Ola Turley Yager. He graduated from high school at Mound City, Kansas. He then attended Fort Scott Junior College and Pittsburg State University. He served in the U.S. Navy VP-8 patrol squadron during the Vietnam era. He was employed by TWA in 1969 and retired from American Airlines in 2004 as an A-P mechanic. He married Diane Miller of Fort Scott on April 12, 1969. They built their home near Smithville, Missouri, and raised three children, Elsie Yager of Smithville, Missouri, Tony Yager of Overland Park, and Kristy Yager Villalobos of Savannah, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, 801 NW 108th St. Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside services at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Nov. 29, at Fort Scott No. 1 National Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Wings of Mercy in care of the Ararat Shrine Temple, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO 64129.
