Second suspect arrested in Pittsburg murder case

Authorities in Florida arrested 29-year-old Albert E. Richmond on two warrants on drug and murder charges.

Around 4 p.m. a fugitive warrant team arrested Richmond without incident at a motel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to Pittsburg Police Maj. Brent Narges. He is expected to be extradited back to Pittsburg to face first degree murder charges, according to police.

Authorities have already arrested Malcolm A. Jackson,36, of Pittsburg, in connection to the shooting death of Tyrone Owens, who was found dead in a car stopped at the intersection of College and Forest streets. He died as a result of gunshot wounds.

Ramone D. Hester

Police are searching for a third suspect, Ramone D. Hester, 24, of the Pittsburg area. Anyone with information concerning the homicide case or the whereabouts of Hester is encouraged to call the Pittsburg Police Department at (620) 231-1700 or 1-800-KS-CRIME.
