Robert Joseph Hoffman

Robert Joseph Hoffman, age 77, a resident of Fort Scott, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at his home in Fort Scott. Bob was born April 18, 1947, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Bernard Hoffman and Phyllis Eckhardt Hoffman. Bob married Ann E. Stephan Gillmore on Aug. 31, 1985, in Fort Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Gillmore-Hoffman of Fort Scott; three children, Joanna Janger of Phoenix, Ariz., John Gillmore (Susan) of Fort Scott and Kathy Gillmore-Dancer (Tracy) also of Fort Scott, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Patricia Ann Hoffman of Glenview, Ill. Bob was preceded in death by a grandson.

Following cremation, private burial will take place at a later date in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kan.
