Financing for event center explained during forum

Note: This is the first of a two-part series on a town hall meeting Thursday night at the Empress Event Center.

The public had the chance to learn more about the process for financing a Kansas Sales Tax and Revenue (STAR) bond project to construct a multi-purpose event center in Fort Scott during a town hall meeting Thursday night at the Empress Event Center.

About 50 to 60 people attended the forum, and time was allotted for questions from the public.
