County commissioners begin hearing 2024 budget requests

As Bourbon County Commissioners begin to field budget requests for 2024, two entities requested increases in their budgets during Monday’s commission meeting at the Redfield Community Center.

Commissioners talked with Bourbon County Sheriff Bill Martin and Major Bobby Reed about the budgets for the sheriff’s office and correctional center, respectively. Commissioners also heard from representatives of the Bourbon County Conservation District about that agency’s mission and proposed budget.
