Yvonne Bogue Leek, 90, passed away on May 7, 2022.

Yvonne was born to Ada Iris Kimball and Lester Loyd Bogue on Jan. 31, 1932, in Garden City, Kan. 

Yvonne was an artist who produced weavings and paintings. She was a cellist who performed in both the Cheyenne, Wyo., and Pueblo, Colo., symphonies. Yvonne was a member of the Pueblo Arts Council, Colorado Artists Association, Mensa, Alpha Mu Delta, Associated Women Artists, Arts Center Associates, and Metropolitan Arts Association. She was active in the Pachyderm Club, hosted a group of ladies weekly for her Unfinished Projects Group and was a member of Ascension Episcopal Church. She loved many things in this world: birds, flowers, her cats, Mr. Stripey and JoshBBCat, gardening, southwest culture, green chilies, cooking, making people laugh, her faith, reading the Sunday paper, reading novels, and making art. Most of all, she was devoted to her husband, Max, of 59 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Shan Yvonne Wolf of Jefferson City, Mo.; son, Monte Wayne Bradford of Basking Ridge, N.J., sister, Nancy Anglen of Waxahachie, Texas; sisters-in-law, Wanda Giddens, Tulsa, Okla., and Fleeta Antrim, Fort Scott, Kan.; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Edsel Leek, brothers-in law, Hollis and Wayne Leek; and sister-in-law, Winnifred Daly.

There was cremation by Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Inurnment will be at 12:30 pm. Monday, June 5, 2023, at Fort Scott National Cemetery.
