Thurston, Smith finish in top 10 in Pittsburg

Two Fort Scott High School golfers finished in the top 10 at the Pittsburg Invitational held Tuesday at Crestwood Country Club.

Fort Scott’s Ryann Thurston shot an 18-hole score of 90 (45-45) to finish the tournament in first place.

“She topped 48 of the best golfers in the area,” FSHS Head Coach Julie Heatherly said.

Fort Scott’s Ellie Smith finished with an 18-hole score of 94 (45-49) to place fifth.
