Pete Allen resigns commission seat

Fort Scott City Commissioners on Wednesday accepted the resignation of Pete Allen as city commissioner.

“Three years ago I signed up to run for city commissioner thinking that I could make a difference,” Pete Allen said during the commission’s regular meeting Tuesday. “It was proven to me tonight that’s a false idea, a false thought.”
