Lady Tigers win, Tiger boys fall in tourney opener

Fort Scott High School’s Tiger basketball teams split their season openers with Perry-Lecompton Tuesday evening in Paola.

The Lady Tigers (1-0) jumped out to a 4-0 lead early against the Lady Kaws (0-2) and controlled much of the rest of the contest en route to a 44-34 victory. The Tiger boys (0-1) also found themselves ahead 4-0 early in the first quarter and stayed close with the Kaws (1-1) before falling 55-47.
