Session held to fine tune city’s half-cent sales tax ballot

Fort Scott City Commissioners held a work session Tuesday to help the director of finance decide the language for a ballot question to renew a half-cent sales tax.

The half-cent sales tax currently in place will sunset on June 30. Voters will be asked to go to the polls in March to decide whether the tax should be renewed.
