Leah Goldstein, an Israeli road racing cyclist, pedals down Wall Street while making her way through Fort Scott as part of the annual Race Across America Monday afternoon. Born in Canada, Goldstein holds dual citizenship in Israel and Canada. Goldstein is not only a cyclist, as she won the 1989 World Bantamweight Kickboxing Championship. She won the women’s solo category of the RAAM in 2011, breaking the previous record by 12 hours.

As they have done for the last four years, the Hudicek-Ashwill family have hosted a rest and information stop at Time Station 30 of the annual Race Across America bicycle race.

Riders in the annual coast-to-coast bicycle race began passing through Fort Scott late Saturday night and were expected to come through in waves over the next few days. The solo riders were to pass through first, with teams of two, four and eight riders arriving later in the week.
