City officials respond to public comments regarding fire trucks
Friday, April 5, 2019
City officials on Tuesday responded to some citizen concerns voiced at the March 19 meeting of the Fort Scott City Commission.
Director of Finance Rhonda Dunn and Human Resources Director Deb Needleman addressed concerns regarding the city’s proposal to purchase two new fire trucks, at a cost of about $1.8 million, for the Fort Scott Fire Department.
A group of citizens is attempting to circulate a petition protesting issuance of the bonds for the purchase, prior to the end of a 60-day protest period.
