The results of the Nov. 6 election won’t change after an official canvass of provisional ballots Thursday, although some township races were decided by write-in votes.

Bourbon County Commissioners conducted a canvass of the election during a special meeting, and are expected to officially sign off on the election making the results final at their regular Tuesday meeting. County Clerk Kendell Mason guided commissioners through a process that determines how ballots are placed in a provisional category.

Mason said there were a total of 191 provisional ballots, and of those, 147 were counted during the canvass.
