Pottery in the yard

Peyton Brooker, 7, uses a potter’s wheel under the guidance of Kendel Pfohl of Fort Scott. The hands-on demonstration was part of Art in the Yard, hosted by local potter Bobbi Kemna.

The first Art in the Yard Festival, held Saturday in Bobbi Kemna’s yard just outside of Fort Scott, drew artists of a variety of mediums, student groups, musicians and food was available. Brooker is the daughter of Scott and Amanda Brooker of Fort Scott. The event has been Kemna's dream for many years.
