The Fort Scott Library hosted its 2018 Summer Reading Program kickoff party Wednesday at the Danny and Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center on the campus of Fort Scott Community College.

Children and families could take part in a variety of activities, games and challenges. The theme for this year’s reading program is “Libraries Rock!”

Early registration for the summer reading program is now open. Forms are available at library circulation desks, according to information from the library.
