Eagles split with Indians

ST. PAUL — Uniontown’s baseball team split a Three Rivers League doubleheader with St. Paul here Thursday, winning game one 5-4, with a rally in the last two innings, but losing the second game, 11-1.

The Eagles (3-3 TRL, 5-3 overall) trailed 4-0 going into the sixth in game one. Kolby Seested drove in the winning run during a 3-run seventh with a double to left field that scored Andrew Reed and Nick Hathaway.

Seested was 2 for 3 with 2 runs batted in. Hathaway went to the mound to close things out in the bottom of the seventh. He allowed a pair of hits but also recorded 3 strikeouts.

The Eagles had only 2 hits in game two.

Uniontown plays a TRL doubleheader at Jayhawk-Linn Monday beginning at 4:30.
