Charles “Junior” Reynolds
Charles “Junior” Reynolds, 81, of rural Arcadia, Kan., died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Reynolds was born Feb. 26, 1936, at Cato, Kan., the son of Charles and Georgie Farmer Reynolds Sr. Junior was a farmer and dairyman who lived in rural Arcadia most of his life. After his parents’ death, he was raised by his uncles, Earl and Bert Reynolds, and his aunt Sue and her husband Roy Evans. He was raised in Cato and attended Cato Grade School and graduated from Arcadia High School in 1956. He was a member of the Cato Christian Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Gladene Reavis of Fort Scott and Pat Mix and her husband Richard of Fort Scott, two brothers, Darvin and Merhle Reynolds, both of the home, nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles Earl and Bert Reynolds, and aunt Sue Evans and her husband, Roy.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017, at the Large Cemetery at Cato, Kan., with Lela Simpson and Priest Cecil J. Feagins officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma or at the family home 1111 N. 200th St., Arcadia, Kan. The family suggests memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
