Joseph Scott “Joe” Hinton

Joseph Scott “Joe” Hinton, age 54, went to his final resting place May 16, 2017. He was born April 26, 1963, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Eldon L. and Doris A. Duncan Hinton. He was a hardworking businessman who farmed and owned several business but above all was a father, a son and a friend. Joe was a hard worker who never knew a stranger. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was the right hand man for his great aunt and uncle, Louise and Dub Fitzgerald, helping them on a farm in Bourbon County.

Survivors include his four children, Abby, Jenna, (Romeo) Gabe, Kyla and their mother, Tama Gilbert Hinton; mother, Doris Hinton, Pittsburg, Kan.; sisters, Julie Hinton and Sandra Rech. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon L. Hinton, brother, Ronnie Hinton and grandparents.

Father Robert Wachter will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday, May 19, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Following the service there will be cremation. Memorialsl are suggested to Heifer International and may be sent to the Heifer International, at 1 World Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72202.
