UHS Class of 2017

Uniontown High School graduates toss their graduation caps into the air at the conclusion of the graduation ceremony. Baccalaureate, sponsored by the Uniontown High School Fellowship of Christian Athletes, was held at 1 p.m., with graduation at 2 p.m. Saturday at the West Bourbon Elementary gymnasium. There are 36 members of the UHS Class of 2017.

The 36 members of the Uniontown High School Class of 2017 received their diplomas Saturday at the West Bourbon Elementary gym.

The afternoon began with a baccalaureate service held at 1 p.m. The message was given by Uniontown First Baptist Church Pastor Marty Dewitt.

Seniors who participated in the service were Colt Sutterby, with the welcome and invocation and David Bradbury, scripture reading and benediction.

The service was sponsored by the UHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The graduation ceremony began at 2 p.m. with the UHS Eagle Band, under the direction of Neva Rowland, performing “Pomp and Circumstance.”

Interim Superintendent and High School Principal Jan Hedges gave the introduction and closing remarks.

Business education teacher and pastor Jeff Feagins was the graduation speaker.

Oher speakers were the class valedictorian, Ty Covey, and salutatorian, Colt Sutterby.

Diplomas were presented by class sponsors Jeanne Camac and Toni O’Neal.
