Tracy Scott Allison

Mr. Tracy Scott Allison, age 73, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016. He was born Jan. 14, 1943 in Bay City, Texas, and grew up in Fort Scott, Kan. Scott was the son of the late Norval Alexander Allison and Grace Elizabeth Allen Allison. Mr. Allison was the husband of Joanne G. Allison.

Scott graduated in 1965 with a political science degree with a minor in history from Pittsburg State University of Pittsburg, Kan. He joined and served our great country in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969 as a voice intercept processing specialist. Scott retired from his career in the telecommunications industries in 2013. Scott loved history, architectural designs, traveling and was curious about everything. His hobby was cutting colored gemstones.

Scott is survived by his wife of 16 years, Joanne G. Allison and extended family.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathy Jean Dunham.

The family held a memorial service for Scott Allison on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at the chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, S.C., by Rev. Lynn Hough.
