FSMS volleyball splits with Nevada

Fort Scott Middle School's volleyball teams won two of four matches against Nevada at the FSMS gymnasium Monday evening.

The seventh-grade "B" team played first and defeated Nevada, 22-25, 25-21, 16-14. The seventh-grade "A" team lost in three sets, 28-26, 23-25, 15-10.

The eighth-grade "B" match followed with the Tigers falling, 25-16, 13-25, 15-13. The eighth-grade "A" team prevailed, 25-12, 25-17 in the only sweep of the night.

The Tigers played at Anderson County on Tuesday. They will return home to face Chanute and Independence in a triangular Thursday with the first match beginning at 3:30 p.m.
