Hall gets albatross at local course

Fort Scott resident Rex Hall can scratch "albatross" off of his bucket list.
An albatross is the golfing community's monicker for making a hole-in-one on a par four hole. Hall accomplished this rare feat on the sixth hole Sunday at Woodland Hills Golf Course. Hole No. 6 is a 235-yard par-4 from the white tees.
"A hole in one is a very rare occurrence, but a hole in one on a par four is even more so," Shannon O'Neil, head golf pro and clubhouse manager, said.
Chuck Scammell, Mitch Quick, Jim Regan and Jon Kindlesparger witnessed the shot.
