Nearly 200 fourth grade students from West Bourbon Elementary, St. Mary's Catholic School, and Eugene Ware Elementary participated in Conservation Day activities in Gunn Park.
The event included multiple 15-minute stations that each covered a different area of conservation.
The stations included enviroscape, soil (using crumbled cookies), Forestry Service, recycling, a soil tunnel trailer, fish biology, a rain simulation, a stream trailer, and animal identification.
The event was sponsored by the National Resources Conservation Service and the Bourbon County Conservation District.
