Donald Dean McQueen

Donald Dean McQueen, age 72, Pleasanton, Kan., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Olathe Hospice House. He was born on June 17, 1943 in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Oliver and Lola Mitchell McQueen. He married Donna Martin on Nov. 9, 1961 at Kansas City, Kan. He worked in the housing industry taking care of maintenance. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard and most of all spending time with his family. In his early days, he was a member of the Argentine Bulldogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Donna, son Donald Dean McQueen Jr, three brothers: Kenny, Marty and Mike McQueen. He is survived by two daughters, Sue Meyer and Lora Ralle, three sisters: Jean Brown, Judy Everhart and Peggy Greenfield, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Pleasanton Meals on Wheels.
