Fort Scott High School senior Austin Cook has been selected to participate in the 2015 Shrine Bowl, a football all-star game that serves as a fundraiser for Shriners Hospitals for Children. Shriners came to Fort Scott last week to give Cook a certificate of recognition and go over his responsibilites as one of the 68 players in the state of Kansas selected by a vote of state media.

Uniontown senior Zach Schwalm was also selected for the game. He was honored at halftime of the high school boys' game versus Oswego Tuesday night. Among those with Schwalm as he accepted his honor were (front from left) Jahay, his mother Cindy and father David.
