FSMS wins three of four

IOLA -- Fort Scott Middle School's basketball teams won three of four games here Tuesday.

The seventh-grade "B" Team won the opener over Iola, 30-12. Addi Williams scored 8 points to lead the Tigers.

The seventh-grade "A" Team took a 39-14 win over the Ponies. Ella Beth led the Tigers with 19 points and also had 5 steals. Sami Bradbury added 13 points. Ashanti Green and Austin Sinn each had 6 rebounds.

The eighth-grade "B" team took an 18-17 win, outscoring Iola 10-5 in the second half. Addy Labbe scored 7 points and Macayla McClure added 6 points while grabbing 10 rebounds.

Iola took a 29-21 win over the eighth-grade "A" team. Kenady Poyner led the Tigers with 8 points and 7 rebounds. Kyra Pryor had 6 for Fort Scott. Kelsey Morrison led Iola with 10 points.

All four Fort Scott teams played at home against Chanute-Royster Thursday. Results will be published in Saturday's edition.
