Floyd F. Findley, 64, of Fort Scott, died Sunday morning, Nov. 15, 2015 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan. He was born July 13, 1951 in Fort Scott, Kan., the son of Eldon Albert and Ula Beatrice (Carr) Findley. He married Joyce Cox in August of 1980 in Miami, Okla., and she survives of the home.

Floyd was a technician for Southwestern Bell / AT&T for over 30 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge No. 8 AF & AM, and was interested in ham radio and other electronics, and enjoyed tractor pulls.

In addition to his wife Joyce, Floyd is survived by his children, Jason Findley of Eureka, Kan., Kenneth Eldon Findley of Fort Scott, and Melanie Findley of Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Donald Findley and wife Sarah of Grove, Okla., and Robert Findley and wife Linda of Fort Scott; three sisters, Helen Hixon and husband Richard of Fort Scott, Janice Camp and husband Rollin of Hesston, Kan., and Rita Findley of Wisconsin; and four grandchildren, Bailey, Tyler, Megan, and Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Rosemarie Findley, Doris Query, and Jenelle Findley, and one brother, John Findley.

Following cremation, the family will receive friends for a memorial visitation 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
