'Hounds sweep Dragons

LEXINGTON, Mo. -- Fort Scott Community College swept Wentworth Military here Friday night in a non-conference match, 25-14, 25-20, 25-15.

The No. 12-ranked Greyhounds (26-9) were led by Brette Moore who racked up 20 kills in 34 chances and made just three errors. Julia Stringer followed with 6 kills.

Mickey Trimble handed out 35 assists for the Greyhounds. Brandi Huesman served 3 aces. Emily Bruce came up with 28 digs. Moore and Sheri Middleton each had a total of 4 blocks. Brianna Bogan had 5 block assists.

Fort Scott plays its final Jayhawk Conference match of the season Wednesday night at Allen in Iola. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.
