Phyllis R. West, 84, of Lenexa, passed away May 13, 2015. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6 at Lakeview Village-Southridge-Treetop Activity Room 5th Floor, 14001 W. 92nd Street, Lenexa, Kan. Inurnment will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Fort Scott National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Lakeview Village Foundation.
Phyllis was born Feb. 5, 1931, the daughter of Robert E. and Mabel (Downing) Dudley, in Kansas City, Kan. She was married to William R. West for 38 years. William passed away on Aug. 1, 1988 and was buried at Fort Scott National Cemetery. Phyllis was active in the Sweet Adelines International for over 50 years. Her family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Lakeview Village in rehab, the Care Center and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate and dignified care of their mother.
She is survived by her daughter, Lizbeth Jorgenson; son, Bill West and his wife Debbie; grandchildren, Stephen Burm and his wife Heather, Leslie Brown and her husband Robert and Tara Hayes and her husband Brett; and six great grandchildren with one on the way.
