Three fifths for Tigers in home tourney

Fort Scott High School hosted a junior varsity tennis tournament Monday with no team scores kept.

Micah Self was 2-2 in No. 1 singles. He lost to Christian Baldwin of Parsons, 6-1, and Chase Tucker of Independence, 6-4. He defeated Delvert Vanderpool of Pittsburg, 6-0, and Jack Waring of Pittsburg, 6-2.

Vandaro Chit and Jacob Bailey placed fifth in No. 1 doubles. They defeated Braden Robinson/Kolby Usery of Chanute, 6-4. They lost to Hammer/Willliams of Parsons in a tie-breaker, 6-5 (7), O'Malley/Woods of Independence, 6-1, and Wilde/Dial of Pittsburg, 6-1.

Garcia and Bollinger lost all four matches they played in No. 2 doubles, finishing fifth Scores were 6-2 versus McCullum/Stephens of Parsons and Goodrich/Millgan of Independence, 6-3 versus Palmer/Phillips of Chanute and 6-1 versus Walters/Lee of Pittsburg.

The JV plays at Parsons Monday.
