UJH volleyball coming up on season finale
Uniontows Junior High's volleyball teams recently swept Crest and gained a split with Pleasanton.
The seventh-grade Eagles rolled over Crest on the road October 2, 25-9, 25-15. Jordan Ford and Makenzie Brown each served 3 points for Uniontown.
The eighth-grade team went three sets that night with Crest, winning 25-22, 21-25, 15-12. Anna Jefferis had 4 points in the first, Aubrey Ruggles 5 in the second, and Jefferis 3 in the third to pace Uniontown.
At Pleasanton on October 9, the seventh-grade Eagles prevailed 25-18, 25-17, behind Libby Franks, served a total of 8 points.
The eighth-grade team dropped a 25-20, 25-23 decision to the Blu-Jays. Harlee Tinsley collected 3 points to pace Uniontown in the first, with Brenda Shafer getting 4 and Sophie Miller and Aubrey Ruggles 3 each in the second.
UJH will wrap up its season Thursday at home at 5 against Jayhawk Junior High.
