Frosh volleyball sweeps quad at Parsons

PARSONS -- Fort Scott's freshmen volleyball team swept Chanute, Parsons and Coffeyville in a quadrangular here Tuesday.

The victories upped the Tigers' record to 16-11.

Fort Scott bested Chanute 25-22, 26-24, then dropped Parsons 25-13, 25-22, and finished up with a
victory over Coffeyville 25-19, 25-12.

Monday, the Tigers went 1-2 in a home quad at the FSHS gymnasium.. They turned back Columbus, 25-15, 25-9,
but lost to Jayhawk-Linn, 25-17, 25-22 and fell to Louisburg, 25-21, 25-22.

Members of the team include setter Skyelar Brown, right-side hitter Kennzie Thorpe, libero Lane Boohlken, left-side hitters Morgan Carr and Samantha Racy, middle hitters Madison Cook and Kelsie Nelson and passers Madison Proctor, Emma Davis, and Madison Wright.

Tuesday evening the Tigers will travel to Independence for a quadrangular which includes Labette County and Parsons. Play will begin at 5 p.m.
