Mercy Clinic Fort Scott held its Children's Health and Safety Fair Saturday.

The event featured health screenings (eye, vision, blood pressure, height and weight, and dental checks); education on vaccines, asthma, hand-washing and healthy snacks; exercise stations; a bounce house; Mercy Emergency Medical Services and Medflight as well as fire trucks, firefighters and the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office.

A highlight was the Teddy bear Clinic, where young children were encouraged to bring their Teddy bear or doll for a check-up. Surgeons were on hand to mend minor lacerations.
